Welcome to Crypto-ML. Here are some tips and recommendations to get you off to a smooth start.
Updated October 2019.
To get started, here’s a 5-minute walkthrough of the Crypto-ML dashboard:
What happens after I sign up?
After completing payment, you will gain immediate access to the membership site. Triggers are posted to the membership site daily. You will receive email notifications at 7pm EST daily.
What exchange should I use for trading?
You should choose an exchange based on trust, cost, volume, and other factors.
The Crypto-ML team uses Coinbase Pro (formerly GDAX) (https://pro.coinbase.com/). This exchange is provided by Coinbase, but built for more active investors and traders. If you already have a Coinbase account, your same login credentials will work on Coinbase Pro.
Notably, the Coinbase Pro fees are much lower than the standard Coinbase fees. The fee list is here: https://support.pro.coinbase.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2945310-fees
Coinbase is offered globally to various degrees, details of which you’ll find here: https://www.coinbase.com/global
Coinbase (including GDAX and Coinbase Pro) currently provide one of the most user-friendly and robust tax reporting systems, which makes year-end reporting simple for traders.
Last, the Auto-Trade feature of Crypto-ML will roll out supporting Coinbase Pro.
If you do not yet have a Coinbase account, you can use this referral link to sign up: https://www.coinbase.com/join/59270ea6e3aad10098d4383d
* If you register with that link and buy or sell more than $100 worth of coins, both you and Crypto-ML will receive $10 in Bitcoin as a bonus.

What are the different notification types?
Crypto-ML provides several types of machine-learning based trade signals.
- Market Index
- Standard Notifications
- Trade Alert Notifications
- Short Selling Notifications
See Trade Alert Descriptions for more detail on each.
Where can I select my notification settings?
Does the email contain the buy, sell, and hold triggers?
Daily update emails provide you a link to the site where you will find the triggers. This is an important step to ensure data integrity. We recommend staying logged in to the site so you can simply click the link from your email to see the triggers.
Trade alert emails will provide details on time, price, and crypto for the alert.
Should I set stop losses?
Yes, stop losses are important. Crypto-ML provides Stop Loss Guidance.
- If you are on the Trader membership, you would enter your own stop losses when you enter your new trade.
- If you are on the Auto Trader membership, trades will be automatically closed for you.
How do I whitelist emails from Crypto-ML?
Emails sent on a regular basis may be flagged as “promotional” or “spam.” To ensure you do not miss an alert, you should add [email protected] as a trusted sender. Or whitelist crypto-ml.com. This article (offlinegroups.net) discusses how to do this for Gmail, Yahoo, and Outlook.
If Crypto-ML users are already in a position when I join, what should I do?
There are a variety of options and you should understand the pro and cons. After Crypto-ML generates either a “BUY” or “SELL” signal, it will send “HOLD” on a daily basis until it’s time to either close out or buy back in.
If Crypto-ML most recently generated a “BUY” signal and you are now seeing “HOLD,” below is a decision tree to assist.
Scenario 1: You have an existing Bitcoin position.
a) Exit on SELL: You can hold it until a “SELL” signal is generated. This will help you protect any profits. The downside is you did not necessarily enter the position when Crypto-ML generated the “BUY” signal, so you may or may not take a loss.
b) Trade with Separate Cash: You can alternatively hold the existing position indefinitely and set aside separate money as your trading cash to await the next “BUY” signal.
Scenario 2: You do not have an existing Bitcoin position.
a) Wait for Next BUY: You can wait until the next “BUY” signal is generated by the system. The downside is you may miss out on a continued uptrend.
b) Buy Now: You can alternatively buy Bitcoin now. This would get you into the position and help you avoid missing out on a continued uptrend. The downside is you will have bought at a higher price than other members. This could increase your chances of a loss.
If Crypto-ML announces a sell signal, should I sell my entire portfolio?
Each investor is different. We maintain long-term buy-and-hold positions with a percentage of our portfolio and have another portion of our portfolio deployed for active trading based 100% on Crypto-ML signals. Everyone’s strategy is unique and should be based on their personal risk profile.
Can I discuss Crypto-ML with other users?
Yes, Crypto-ML has a Community Forum.
If I suffer a loss, should I cancel my Crypto-ML subscription?
You are welcome to cancel your subscription at any time and can do this from your dashboard. But as with any trading strategy, you should expect losses, potentially even many in a row. Crypto-ML has historically kept losses minimal during losing trades and maximized profits during winning trades.
